About Charnene
Singing requires a stillness of the body. To be honest, standing in front of a microphone is terrifying for most people. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from East Tennessee State University. My teaching centers on oral tradition and imitation.
Whether I work with teens or adults, I emphasize pitch control and resonance. We use warm-up exercises to extend vocal range safely. Stage fear management is built into every session I lead. You can expect practical techniques for belting and phrasing.

Hearing your own voice recorded for the first time is usually a strange experience. To be fair, most of my students find that hearing their tone objectively is the fastest way to fix intonation. We dedicate time to sight singing and rhythm to solidify your musical instincts. Because I share recorded warm-up routines for daily home practice, your voice stays conditioned throughout the week.
My degree from East Tennessee State University informs the way I approach complex belting techniques and breath support. Advanced learners often find that returning to simple phrasing habits helps clear up their performance confidence. I adjust the pace based on how your throat feels each day.
Everything we do serves the goal of making your voice a reliable instrument. It is just about finding the right resonance through consistent effort.
