About Roni Paige

I have performed all across the country. Most prominently with the Minnesota Opera, Knott Free Productions, Children's Theatre Company, and Theatre of NOTE. I have created a series called Caberoke, which is half cabaret performance/half karaoke. Having a strong performance background in myself allows me to help others on their journey to discover their voices in a healthy and sustainable manner.

My training comes from private voice coaches starting at the age of 8 as well as numerous teachers throughout my high school and college life. I have expertise in Opera, Musical Theatre, Pop, and Country. Throughout my learning, I've picked up many tricks of the trade and I want to give that knowledge to others trying to hone their craft. The most important thing for me when it comes to teaching is helping you reach your goals. Whether they be to carry a tune or sing on Broadway (me too, fam), uplifting fellow creatives is the core of creating a strong community.

About the lesson

As a fellow actor who has integrated singing into their craft, I want to teach others who to hone this aspect of their art!

Through our lessons, my main focus is strengthening your connection to your voice and have you leaving with a deeper understanding of how your speaking voice influences your singing voice.

Break down of a typical lesson:
-Check in time: Here you can vent about your day, talk about what's happening in the world, etc. Letting go of what's affecting you outside the rehearsal room is important for connecting to your voice.
-Warm ups: We will use a variety of classical techniques to get the voice warmed up and ready to go! This will be the largest portion of the session; typically 30 minutes. The reason I focus so much on warm ups is to avoid injury during singing and speaking. Through enhancing your technique and understanding of your instrument, we will build a foundation of knowledge!
-Music Theory: This is integral for folks pursuing music professionally. Even just being able to know your notes and plunk them out on a piano will grow your capabilities as an artist.
-Rep: I'm happy to collaborate on this. If you have an audition coming up, we can work on that. If you have a song you've wanted to sing for a while, but haven't had the confidence to do it on your own, I will help you through it! I don't play the piano very well, but I will plunk along with you and help with the rhythms and phrasing.

If you'd like me to come to you, I charge a mileage rate of 0.60/mile round trip. I'm more than happy to travel to teach willing students!

Late fee/Cancellation policy:
-24 hour notice required for cancellation, pending extenuating circumstances. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged for the lesson.
-Grace period of 5 minutes for arrival. Beyond 5 minutes and you will be charged an extra $10. We usually only have an hour to get everything in and I want to make sure we use all of our time wisely!
