About Cheryl
I am a singing teacher with 5 years of experience. I teach school, college, and adult students. I have taught about 300 students. Many have passed exams, won contests, and performed with confidence. Some now sing professionally. My teaching focuses on kindness, motivation, flexible methods, and problem-solving. I believe every voice has potential. I adapt lessons to each student's needs. I focus on breathing, pitch, and vocal health. I also teach ear training, theory, performance, and interpretation. I support students with patience. I celebrate every achievement. I am proud of my students' growth. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of singing.

My teaching style for singing is built on four values: kindness, drive, flexible methods, and clear thinking. I see singing as a personal way to communicate. My job is to help students find their real voice while building solid skills in a safe place. Kindness is key. I know singing can be scary. I create a warm space where students can try, make mistakes, and learn. I am patient and always thank them for their effort. Drive keeps lessons fun. I choose songs they like and set small goals. I celebrate each success, from hitting a note to singing a whole song. I help them see their own growth. Flexible methods work for different learners. Some learn by listening, some by reading music, some by understanding theory first. I teach in the way each student learns best. Clear thinking helps students solve problems. When they have trouble with pitch, breathing, or nerves, I show them how to find answers. We work through issues step by step. This builds independence. My lessons cover technique, ear training, theory, performance, and interpretation. I teach breathing, posture, and vocal control. Ear training improves pitch. Theory includes rhythm and keys. Performance covers stage presence and managing nerves. Interpretation helps students express emotion. Each lesson includes warm-ups, exercises, song work, and review. I use recordings to check progress. My aim is to create confident, expressive singers.
