My teaching approach emphasizes rhythm as a central tool for confident, expressive singing. I use rhythm-based techniques to help students develop precise timing, dynamic energy, and a natural sense of groove. This approach strengthens both technical control and musical expression. We explore concepts like syncopation, beat subdivision, and rhythmic phrasing, applied across genres such as gospel, funk, and jazz. These exercises help students internalize complex rhythms and perform with fluidity. I encourage learners to connect with rhythm through movement, tapping, or body awareness, making timing feel instinctive. Some students thrive by using rhythm to express emotion, while others draw on their creative instincts to shape phrasing and articulation. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, incorporating exercises that allow for both structure and freedom. Through guided drills and repertoire application, students gain confidence navigating syncopated patterns, improvisation, and rhythmic variations. I am a dedicated singing tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specializing in Voice. My passion lies in helping students develop strong vocal foundations, essential for vocal exams, diplomas, and conservatory auditions. I work with singers across a range of genres, including Classical, Opera, Art Song, and Contemporary Vocal styles.
My lessons follow a structured approach, focusing on tone placement, resonance control, and healthy vocal technique. IPA diction training is an integral part of my teaching, ensuring clarity and authenticity in every language and style. Phrasing and musical interpretation are emphasized to help students convey emotion and artistry in their performances.
I tailor exercises and repertoire to each student’s needs, combining technical drills with expressive musical practice. Breath support, posture, and agility are integrated into every session. My approach cultivates both technical proficiency and stage confidence.
