My teaching would be based on real life experiences, for example..for us to live we require oxygen, in the same way for the muscles to function they require oxygen as energy...but imagine you are taking part in a running race and obviously you wanna win so you start running as fast as you can...since your muscles are working intensely, the oxygen they get is insufficient and our body understands this and breaks down carbohydrates to produce lactic acid, which is further broken down to a lactate( GOOD GUY) and hydrogen ions( BAD GUY). Now your body converts the lactate into energy in the absence of oxygen and The hydrogen ions are responsible for your awful burning sensation in your legs as it decreases the muscle efficiency.
This is why you get muscle aches whenever you do intense workout or playing!!!
