I remember when I was in the same boat, especially while getting ready for my IELTS exam. Native English speakers seemed like they had a special power in the way they talked. I wondered if I could ever sound like them.
That's where my journey began. I paid close attention to how their mouths moved and how they made sounds. I tried to copy them and learned about the science of speech sounds and pronunciation. Without realizing it, I started sounding more and more like a native English speaker. I even joined online audio rooms where people assumed I was American, only to surprise them later by revealing I'm Indian.
As I learned about the American Accent—how to make sounds and use the right tone—I developed my own training course. Today, I've helped almost 65 students on their path to sounding like a native.
