About Zarah

I started off playing cello before I could even read. At the age of twelve I secured an apprenticeship with Carnegie Hall recitalist and Harvard conductor named Charles Forbes. My passion in life is teaching. I love inspiring young cellists.

About the lesson

Hello! Here's what I can do.

-best at teaching elementary through high school students
-will help students gain basic to advanced music theory knoledge
-music history lessons also available to help student with phrasing
-can use own methods or help with Suzuki!

I prefer to specialize my lessons on a student to student basis. Not everyone learns best with Suzuki! I give out music theory homework after every lesson to give my students a better understanding of what they're playing. I stress the importance of having the ability to improv to set my student up for a successful career in music. Want to learn what to play at a cocktail lounge? I got you. Need help with your NYSSMA? I got you. Need help with college auditions? I got you.
