About Ekanem
I am inspired to teach high school students, most importantly, because I love teaching. I love sharing my ideas and knowledge to others. Moreover, I have tutored many students over the years, both during and after high school, and I have witnessed the hate lots of students have towards maths. As a lover of the subject, I want to help other students see the beauty of maths and do away with every negative notion they have on the subject. I am also interested in and passionate about explaining maths in a very simple terms that all students can fully understand.

I teach maths by breaking tough topics to simpler and relatable concepts. As an ex high-school student, I understand areas where students can easily get confused in various topics and do my best, when tutoring, to make those areas very clear. I don't believe any topic in maths is hard. I believe it's the false stereotypes and methods of teaching the concept that make students resign to the notion that the topic is hard. Hence, I make sure I use very understandable methods when teaching. I am also interested in real life applications and make sure students understand the purpose why they are learning each topic and why it is relevant- not just for exam purpose. Moreover, I am very patient when teaching my students and make sure they follow through meticulously every step of the way. Overall, I am a fun tutor to be with.
