About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a professional actress, casting director and passionate performing arts teacher based in St Albans. I trained at drama school and have a degree in Musical Theatre, and I’ve been lucky enough to work professionally in the industry, most recently performing in the West End production of Back to the Future.

Alongside performing, I love sharing my passion for the arts and helping others discover their own confidence and creativity. As a casting director, I bring a unique insight into the industry, but above all, I believe lessons should be fun, encouraging and tailored to each individual.

Whether you’re dreaming of a career on stage, preparing for an audition or simply want to sing, act and have fun, I’d love to help you grow in confidence, develop your skills and enjoy every step of the journey!

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is fun, supportive and tailored to each individual student. As a West End actress, casting director and experienced performing arts teacher, I love helping students develop their skills, build confidence and discover their passion for performing.

My lessons are practical, engaging and focused on learning through doing. In singing lessons, we work on vocal technique, breathing, pitch, expression and performance. In acting and drama lessons, we explore scripts, characterisation, improvisation, confidence-building exercises and performance techniques. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable trying new things, making mistakes and growing in confidence.

Lessons typically last 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student's age, experience and individual goals. Each session is planned around what the student wants to achieve, whether that's improving their singing, developing their acting skills, preparing for an audition or simply having fun and building confidence.

I trained at drama school and hold a degree in Musical Theatre, giving me a strong foundation in acting, singing and dance. Alongside my training, I have extensive professional experience, having recently performed in the West End in Back to the Future. I have taught private singing lessons, led workshops and worked with performing arts schools including Stagecoach and Jigsaw, as well as companies such as Theatre Runway and Prep Your Rep.

I also work professionally as a casting director through Sarah Goggin Casting, including resident casting work for Kilworth House Theatre, and have experience as an Associate Director on the Crossroads Pantomime. This allows me to bring real industry insight into my lessons, particularly when helping students with audition preparation, performance technique and developing their confidence.

I welcome students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those looking to take their performing skills to the next level. Above all, I want my lessons to be enjoyable, inspiring and rewarding, helping every student grow in confidence, develop their talent and discover the joy of performing.
