My teaching method will be discussion based, so the student talk through their ideas, plans, what has you stuck, etc. Lessons plans will depend on what the student needs help with, what they are learning, and the goals of the class.
The English classes I took in college helped me develop critical thinking skills, how to talk through my ideas/frustrations in a nonjudgmental group, to give my honest opinion about whatever reading we were going through at the time, and how to look for key writing elements in literature.
These lessons are for anyone in High school or college classes.
