About Gwynedd
I am an award-winning performing artist (classically trained ballet dancer, actor, and singer) and a Cinematic Arts and Creative Writing Double Major. I’ve also been employed to work with young people in a teaching/mentoring/coaching capacity since 2016.
This combination of skills and experience means I am used to going to great lengths to achieve success in any area of study in which I apply myself. I am an excellent communicator, and I have spent more hours of my life on a word processing document than I can count. Also, I know the resilience it takes to achieve mastery in an area that might not be your natural strength.

Have you ever stared at a blank computer screen for an hour, unable to even begin writing because you don’t know how to start? Do you feel writing is a a hassle or a bore? Secretly think spelling is overrated? I get it.
As a kid, I was a reluctant reader (Hooked on Phonics was torture!), but when the world of words finally opened up for me, I suddenly couldn’t put books down. Reading well opens your life up to unlimited possibilities. I’m here to help you get that freedom for yourself.
However, in high school, I remember my first essay assignment in an Advanced Placement class when I had to write a thesis statement… I sat there writing and rewriting for at least five hours before I finally got the help I needed (luckily, my family are all English teachers!). Once I mastered thesis statements and learned to write in various genres and styles, I discovered that writing powerfully allows you to think powerfully.
In this way, I help students not simply improve grades in English classes and other reading/writing heavy subjects (almost all!) but also improve their clarity of thinking, refine their ideas, discover their unique voices, and create new possibilities for the future.
I work with your student’s teacher to set individual goals and help your student achieve their academic dreams.
My approach is student-centric, inspiring, and fun!
