About Simona
I graduated from the University of Siena, in the field of Languages for intercultural and business communication with a grade of 110 and honors. I have achieved high skills in English (C1) and Chinese (HSK4, that is a B2 level). As a lover of Asia, studying Chinese only in Italy was not enough for me, despite having mother tongue teachers. Thus I lived in China for four months, where I studied at Wenzhou University (温州 大学). There my level of Chinese rose sharply not only because the lessons were held entirely in the native language, but also because I was "forced" to use Chinese every day to be able to communicate with the locals. I am thrilled to share my knowledge of the language with you and also to reveal curiosities about Chinese culture that are useful for learning. Although Chinese may seem very difficult, I assure you that there are many tricks to speed up the process of learning Chinese. Seeing is believing!

My methodology is based on the objectives to be established with the student and on his / her learning pace. My approach to the subject is iconic (drawings, images, audiovisuals), verbal (readings, conversations, discussions) and graphic (free compositions tests, re-elaborations). Proceeding step by step is essential: depending on the student's Chinese level, I will introduce a series of Chinese characters which we will then study closely in simple texts or phrases; we will study their pronunciation, writing and insert them in the appropriate contexts. If the student's level is more advanced, we will proceed with a broader vocabulary and texts to be translated. Once we have acquired some Chinese characters, we will use them in our conversations. I am a sociable and patient person. So do not be afraid of making mistakes: making mistakes is the starting point!
