About RIKO
I'm a qualified Occupational Therapist specializing in developmental disabilities, which gave me deep insight into how children learn and grow at different paces. At Club Med Japan, I worked as a kids' teacher for ages 3–18, building trust and confidence with learners across a wide age range. I want to teach Japanese because I love helping people communicate and connect — watching a student go from hesitant to confident is what drives me. I bring patience, adaptability, and genuine enthusiasm for each learner's progress.

In my lessons, I adjust materials and teaching approaches flexibly based on each learner's age, level, and interests. I focus on conversation practice, teaching expressions they can use right away, and creating an atmosphere where students feel comfortable making mistakes. Rather than relying only on repetitive drills for grammar and vocabulary, I incorporate games and role-play to make learning enjoyable and natural. I also check each learner's understanding as I go, adjusting the pace and setting small, achievable goals so they feel a genuine sense of progress. Through ongoing feedback, I aim to help learners recognize their own growth.
