About Eva
I am a violin tutor with over ten years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory with a violin specialization. I love working with adult beginners and returning learners who want to explore music at their own pace. My lessons focus on improvisation and non-classical genres like jazz and blues. We use simple exercises that build confidence without feeling overwhelming. I teach ergonomic positioning and mindfulness to keep your body relaxed while playing. A relaxed body leads to better sound and more enjoyment. We explore Folk, Blues, Easy Classical, and Worship music to keep things fresh and exciting. I believe that learning the violin should be a creative and rewarding experience. You are never too old to start again or try something new. My approach is patient and supportive, always meeting you where you are. I encourage creative freedom and personal expression in every lesson. Rediscover the joy of playing the violin in a way that feels natural and fulfilling. Let us make music together in a space that is relaxed, encouraging, and full of possibility.

My teaching methodology builds a strong foundation for expressive bowing and tone production. We will work on achieving a rich, warm sound through proper bow arm technique. I guide you through various bowing strokes like detaché, spiccato, and legato to expand your musical palette. You will learn dynamic control, from the softest pianissimo to the most powerful fortissimo. I use dedicated exercises that strengthen your bow arm and improve your coordination. This helps you produce consistent, beautiful tone across all strings. We also focus on bow distribution and contact point to get the best sound from your instrument. My approach is especially helpful for players who want to add expression and emotion to their playing. I support students in developing control over every aspect of their bowing. You will notice improvements in your tone quality and your ability to shape phrases. My goal is to help you produce beautiful violin sounds with ease and confidence.
