My approach to teaching special needs children is rooted in creating a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment that adapts to each child’s unique needs and learning style. I employ Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and incorporate visual aids, interactive activities, and sensory tools to reinforce positive behaviors and aid in concept comprehension.
Lessons typically range from 45 to 60 minutes, as this duration aligns well with attention spans and provides a balanced pace for children to absorb new information without feeling overwhelmed. Each session begins with a brief review of previously learned material, moves into new concepts, and concludes with practical activities or games that encourage the child to apply what they've learned.
My lessons are designed for young children, typically between the ages of 4 to 10, who have special educational needs. The level is beginner to intermediate, and each session is crafted to build foundational skills, such as improving behavior, enhancing communication, and fostering social skills, within a nurturing and positive learning environment.
