About Erin
Hello,
My name is Erin, and I am a third-year French horn student currently completing my Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. I have extensive experience teaching and working with students of all ages and abilities, and I am passionate about supporting each student’s individual musical journey.
I believe music education is a powerful tool for self-expression, connection, and personal growth, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to achieve their full potential.
Alongside teaching, I actively maintain my own performance practice through performing in the university symphonic ensembles program, chamber groups and regular performances in soirees.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, with an approach that focuses on empowering students to achieve their full potential.
Horn lessons typically incorporate elements of routine, repertoire, and duets. Each component is selected to suit the student’s current ability while providing appropriate challenge to support continued growth. A written summary of lesson content and focus areas is also provided after each lesson.
Music Theory, Aural, and Music History lessons are approached holistically to support each student’s learning needs. Drawing on a wide range of personal resources and practical experience across these subjects enables me to provide clear, engaging, and effective support.
Lessons are for students up to Year 12 VCE. I would suggest 1-hour lessons, but happy to discuss on case by case basis.
