About Vedhika
With over 5 years of tutoring experience and a MSc in Radiochemistry, I bring a unique perspective to chemistry education. My focus is food chemistry and nutritional science, areas where chemistry meets everyday life. I help students understand macromolecules like proteins, fats, and carbohydrates in detail. We also explore food additives and how they affect both quality and health. My lessons highlight metabolic processes and their importance for energy and well-being. I often incorporate dietary analysis to make abstract concepts more personal. Students learn to evaluate real meals and nutrition labels scientifically. I also bring in elements of food product development, showing how chemistry shapes the food industry. Cooking chemistry is another area where my students engage deeply. I believe chemistry is best learned through real applications. My approach focuses on analytical chemistry and the tools that support scientific discovery. Students gain experience in spectroscopy methods such as NMR, IR, and UV-Vis. I also guide them through chromatography, covering both theory and practice. Quantitative analysis is taught with clear examples that show its role in accuracy. I keep lessons relaxed and interactive, so students feel comfortable asking questions. Instrumental analysis is always at the center of my teaching. For geneticists and microbiologists, I provide detailed support in applying these techniques to their lab projects. From protein analysis to metabolic studies, chemistry supports every step. I connect learning to laboratory situations students will actually encounter.
