About Yara
Hi! I’m a singing tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My teaching combines traditional vocal techniques with modern technology, including DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones, to help students prepare for recording and songwriting.
I specialize in genres like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian, guiding students to develop their unique sound. Together, we focus on lyric interpretation, tone shaping, harmonies, and phrasing to bring emotion and depth to every performance.
Whether you’re a hobbyist exploring your voice or an aspiring recording artist preparing for the studio, my lessons are tailored to your goals and creative vision. I emphasize confidence, vocal health, and expressive storytelling through music.

My teaching methodology focuses on vocal wellness, mindfulness, and long-term voice care. Each session begins with gentle warm-ups to awaken the voice, including lip trills, sirens, and humming exercises. I emphasize proper vocal placement and posture to reduce strain and promote ease in singing.
Hydration is key, and I guide students to maintain healthy vocal habits throughout the day. For the soloist in training, we balance technical goals with mindful breathing, helping them stay calm and confident during practice and performance. Church ensemble players learn to blend with others while maintaining healthy vocal support and stamina.
I incorporate mindfulness exercises, guided breathwork, and visualization to connect mental calm with musical expression. Tools like vocal tracking apps, breath timers, and journaling apps help students monitor progress and prevent overuse.
Sessions focus on steady, sustainable growth rather than rushed achievement. Students learn to enjoy singing fully while caring for their voice. Every lesson fosters joy, awareness, and confidence, allowing both soloists and ensemble singers to thrive musically and mentally.
