About Ginna
I am an enthusiastic flute tutor with 22 years of experience teaching High School, College, and adult students. I have had the pleasure of teaching 150-200 students, helping them grow technically, creatively, and emotionally through music. My teaching philosophy is centred on patience, encouragement, and fostering a love for learning.
One of the proudest moments in my career was mentoring a beginner student from their first lesson to performing confidently in a school concert. I focus on lessons that combine technique, creativity, and real-life examples to make learning both effective and inspiring. My goal is to help students develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

My flute teaching methodology combines practical learning, creativity, and motivation. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain concepts in a clear and relatable way, helping students connect theory with performance. I focus on motivation, inspiring students to stay confident, dedicated, and enthusiastic about learning.
I integrate problem-solving in every lesson, guiding students to overcome technical and musical challenges while building independence and skill. Integrity is central to my approach, promoting discipline, honesty, and respect for music. My lessons are flexible, adapted to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style.
Besides flute, I can teach related subjects like music theory and fundamentals to provide a complete understanding. My goal is to make learning engaging, productive, and enjoyable, helping students grow creatively, technically, and personally.
