About Thomas
I am a Texas-certified high school social studies teacher with experience teaching both World History and AP World History. I currently teach in the classroom, where I design structured lessons, assessments, and writing support aligned to state standards and AP expectations.
I have experience working with a wide range of students, including those who need support with reading and writing as well as those aiming for high AP exam scores. My classroom experience allows me to understand what teachers are looking for and how to help students meet those expectations.

I focus on making world history clear and manageable, tailoring each lesson to the student’s specific needs, whether that’s catching up on missed content, improving writing, or preparing for an exam. I break topics down step by step, explain them in plain language, and adjust the pace and support based on the student.
Lessons usually include a quick review, targeted explanation of key concepts, and guided practice with assignments, test prep, or AP writing (SAQs, DBQs, LEQs).
I have experience working with a wide range of students, including those who struggle with reading and writing as well as those aiming to improve their AP scores.
