I am a teacher at Achiever's Point Tutorial, coaching children from grades 8 to 12 in English and Comparative Literature from IGCSE, CISCE, CBSE and WBCHSE boards.

Reading -> One of the best ways to learn is by reading, which unfortunately is on the decline amongst children of today owing to the lure of technology. 20% of my every class involves interactive reading sessions where the focus is on the pupil's pronunciation and enunciation. Special emphasis is laid in inculcating a fascination for knowledge by not restricting to prescribed syllabus but diversifying the scope of their learning through comparative readings.
Writing -> Most children don't like to write because they don't enjoy it. I have been working with an organisation that is creating a structured course wherein a child's objectivity in analysing texts is boosted through a systematic approach to a topic. 30% of my class is spent by a student in note-taking and answering questions.
Speaking -> 50% of my class involves a pro-active interaction between my students and me wherein through a conversational way, meanings and interpretations are unfolded.
