Lisl supports student learning by
-- Setting student-specific goals that focus on improving areas each student struggles by utilizing skills that they excel at
-- Creating a positive lesson environment where a sense of humor and optimism are valued
-- Sharing personal experience in school as inspiration and as context for how everyone sometimes struggles, but with work and focus, you can overcome

A typical session on homework help will begin with a check-in (how is the student doing outside the lesson) and an evaluation of what needs to be accomplished. Then we make a game plan, and work through the necessary assignments accordingly.

A typical SAT/ACT prep session will start with a check-in. Then we will select a section to focus on. After going through some sample problems, the student will complete a timed set of questions. We will then score and speak through the questions the student struggled with.
