About Teigist

Hello! My name is Tiggy, and I recently graduated from Yale University after pursuing a BA in Anthropology. Before Yale, I attended high-school at a British International School in Kenya, where I received 2A* and 2A at A Levels, and 8A* 1A and 1B at IGCSE. I also received the top score in Kenya for A-Level Biology and IGCSE English Literature. I tutored high school students all throughout my time at college, and developed a keen understanding of how to get difficult concepts across to students with a variety of learning styles. My former students have gone on to surpass their own expectations and get excellent grades in standardised exams. I believe what sets my method apart is the time I take during the onboarding process to really get to know new students-- understanding everything from their problem areas and learning preferences to their personalities and natural interests to develop a highly personalised tutoring plan. Furthermore, I have acute experience with attention difficulties and I know how to work with students struggling with their focus to make a plan that will (finally!) stick.
