About Annabelle
I am a Year 12 student at ACG Parnell College currently studying AS Level Biology. I achieved A* grades in both IGCSE Biology and IGCSE Combined Science, and I have a strong understanding of the subject content and exam expectations.
Having recently completed these qualifications, I am familiar with the structure of Biology exams and the skills needed to succeed, including applying knowledge, interpreting questions, and writing clear scientific answers. This allows me to support students in a practical and focused way that aligns with what is required in school assessments.
I take a calm and structured approach to tutoring, aiming to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through difficult topics. My goal is to help students build understanding that lasts, not just memorize content for tests.

My teaching approach focuses on making biology easy to understand rather than just memorising facts. I break down complex topics into simple, step-by-step explanations and use diagrams, real-life examples, and exam-style questions to help students fully understand the content. I also adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s needs, whether they need help catching up, revising, or preparing for exams.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows enough time to explain concepts clearly, go through practice questions, and review any difficult areas. If needed, I can also do shorter or slightly longer sessions depending on the student’s workload and goals.
While I am not a professional teacher, my strong academic results in Biology and recent experience with the IGCSE syllabus mean I understand the course well and know what examiners are looking for. Being a current student also helps me explain topics in a relatable way. I also have experience in tutoring as I work with younger students in my schools peer tutoring program.
My lessons are aimed at students in Years 7–11 who want support in Biology, whether they are struggling with certain topics or aiming to improve their grades.
