About Jennifer

I have been teaching piano and music theory for over eight years, and during this time, I have had the privilege of working with more than 80 students.Ten of my students achieved distinction results in their Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory exams, and one student managed to complete her Grade 5 theory in just seven months, which I consider a remarkable accomplishment. I teach the ABRSM syllabus and offer my lessons with the goal of making music theory accessible and enjoyable for everyone. As a graduate with an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Music, I bring a solid academic foundation to my teaching, but my true motivation is not just to share knowledge – it’s to foster a genuine love for music theory. I believe that understanding the structure behind music can deeply enhance one’s musical skills, and I aim to instill this understanding in my students. What I value most is creating an environment where music theory is no longer seen as a tedious or intimidating subject, but something that students can enjoy and appreciate. I purposely keep my lesson fees affordable because my primary goal is to make music theory accessible to as many people as possible. For me, the reward lies in seeing my students develop a passion for music theory and witnessing their growth and success in the subject. I’m committed to supporting each student individually, catering to their needs, and helping them not only pass their exams but also truly understand the subject. I believe that this approach will lead them to greater success in their musical journey overall.

About the lesson
