"Graduating from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a MMus in Piano shaped the way I hear every note. My philosophy is rooted in 13 years of rigorous practice and instruction. I integrate dynamics and expression alongside technical foundations like scales and arpeggios to ensure complete fluidity.

Students from 6 to adulthood refine their hand independence and posture through my studio. We focus on sight transposition, chord voicing, and the nuances of classical repertoire to build your confidence.

Have you considered how deeply you truly listen to the music you play? Because I prioritize internal hearing, we refine rhythm and timing until the music exists in your mind before your fingers touch the keys. I balance conservatory discipline with encouraging feedback to help you master sight playing and complex music theory. About the lesson

"Do you wonder why some pianists seem to communicate directly with your soul while others merely press keys? Silence precedes sound during our first meeting as we explore the vital skill of audiation.

These 8 sessions act as a bridge between your current technical grasp and a much deeper, more articulate performance style. Sometimes I find that students struggle with posture or hand position simply because they have not engaged their internal hearing first.

My 13 years of teaching have convinced me that music is a mental act performed physically. I apply my conservatory degree to break down these barriers for you.

Technique exists to serve the expression, not the other way around. My own journey as a pianist informs how I adjust your approach during our time together. I find that when we stop rushing, the music finds its own voice."
