About Laurie
"Beginners often arrive at their first French session feeling uncertain about their pronunciation or basic vocabulary. Over the past 13 years, I have supported 150 students as they navigate grammar, everyday phrases, and conversational fluency.
My work draws on my experience at the Royal College of Music to emphasise the importance of rhythm and intonation in language. I enjoy helping learners build confidence through role play and dialogue practice that mimics real life. Focusing on accent and intonation allows me to provide clear feedback as we work through language barriers together. I hope you find my patient, concept-first approach a helpful anchor during our time together."
