About EIRINI
I have studied French Language and Literature (MA) and hold a Degree of Proficiency in English, as a Foreign Language (EFL). Having taught in 3 different countries and in all age groups (Early Years - Undergraduate students) my strength is understanding the difficulties a student can have in learning a foreign language. My students can relate with me effortlessly, as I was once in their shoes and learned from scratch 4 foreign languages, without any relevant background or a native speaker in my immediate environment. As a Linguist, I am always trying to build my students' confidence encouraging them to speak the target language, as early as the 1st lesson and my motto has always been "as long as the message is communicated, the language is spoken". To me a language is much more than strict Grammar rules, and my students who have had flexibility to go beyond the National Curriculum, have had the joy to experience that. Finally, having been a GCSE examiner myself, I know exactly the keys to the most successful exams and that's what makes me a superprof!

My online lessons are no different to face-to-face, in a group or 1:1, as I highly invest in creating a bond with each student to help them reach their potential and achieve their goal. The interaction in the Speaking/Listening skills and the guidance in Reading/Writing can be adapted according to the student's needs, exam requirements, or even interests. I use Teams and Zoom, as anyone can access them, even over a mobile phone and every lesson includes a little bit of practice on all 4 skills, as I understand that comprehension is as important as production of the target language. The lessons vary according to demand. Most of my students are GCSE and A-Level candidates, but I have also taught adults who want to enhance their communication skills before a holiday or a professional trip to a French speaking country.
