About Annamarie
Native Spanish is my first language, though I spent years studying it formally for my BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies. This formal training combined with my ACTFL OPI certification helps me spot the exact grammar point that halts your fluency. You might find my approach feels quite structured yet conversational, as I focus on listening practice and vocabulary building for all my students.
Helping people prepare for exams like the DELE or sharpening their conversational skills through role play and dialogue practice is what I enjoy most. I truly find that pinpointing those small gaps in understanding is where the magic happens for the learners I assist. Outside of our work, I spend time reading contemporary Latin American literature to keep my own connection to the language fresh and vibrant.
