About Jael
I began Ballet at the age of six in a small school in my home town of Tempe Arizona. By age 9 I was enrolled at a Ballet school taking 5 days a week. At 14 I took my first summer away to study dance at an intensive and there was never any looking back.
I have had the honor train under some of the dance worlds most renowned instructors, and at some of the most prestigious schools.
Some of my training includes company member of the youth ballet company "Ballet Etudes" Acceptance to ABT, PNB and SAB summer programs on scholarship. And completion of the Milwaukee Ballet Pre professional program.
I found my true passion in teaching after completing my dance career and have held the title of Ballet Director at Adaptive Force Performing Arts, Destination Dance Hawaii and assistant director at Pas De Deux Hawaii.

My approach is anatomical from the start. In dance, and especially Ballet, you have to know your body and understand it as your instrument. I teach all ages how your body works, how your bones move, what muscles you need to use to execute the beautiful art of Ballet.
Layered on top of my strong passion for technique I encourage my students young and old to fall in love with Ballet. It's hard work but it's worth it!
With an emphasis on musicality, correct form and knowledge of how the body functions I believe I give an all encompassing introduction toBallet for new students. For those advanced I revisit correct anatomy of the dancer and find joy in polishing and fine tuning all the little details that make up Ballet.
