About Wesley

Performing and teaching in Boston has shaped my 12 years of musical life. I am a detail-oriented instructor. My studio has supported 60 plus students through the RCM syllabus, helping them move from Prep A through ARCT with distinction.

Whether you are prepping for college auditions or starting as an adult, I provide the same rigorous attention to your progress. I focus on technical fundamentals like posture, hand position, and scales while integrating ear training, sight transposition, and jazz improvisation into your study. You will find that my approach remains unhurried as we refine your classical repertoire, dynamics, and expression to reach your specific musical destination.

About the lesson

True fluency in piano often stems from habits formed during basic warmups. The most complex musical expressions rely on simple posture and precise hand positioning.

I use my degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music to break down these elements during our 60 minute time together. We explore sight playing and arpeggios through a lens of 12 years of active performance. My sessions emphasize the RCM requirements to ensure you are meeting established standards of excellence. You will find that consistency builds strength in your playing over time.

These sessions prioritize clarity and accuracy as the primary building blocks for your growth. Developing a deep understanding of theory remains a central pillar of our shared practice. Success appears naturally when we attend to the mechanical aspects of your technique every single week.
