About Melody

You likely want to play the piano with more than just muscle memory. My 10 years of experience have taught me that true musical fluency requires a deep understanding of posture and hand position.

I have worked with 175 students, ranging from complete beginners to career switchers who need a new path forward. We will spend time on sight transposition and playing contemporary pop music.

My lessons emphasize dynamics and expression to ensure you sound like a musician rather than a machine. You will find that my focus on sight playing helps you understand the fretboard or keys in a way that feels natural.

Helping students connect with their creative side is the most rewarding part of my career. I provide free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson so you can keep moving forward. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch someone find their confidence at the keys.

About the lesson

Your fingers press onto the ivory keys for the first time during our session. We start by fixing your posture before moving into contemporary pop arrangements that keep you engaged. I draw on my 10 years of experience to ensure you are not just memorizing notes but feeling the music. It moves quickly.
