About
It is always hard to go to a tutor who opens their session with "which part of your assignment do you not understand?" It's not an easy question to respond to because sometimes it's the entire lesson! For this reason, I like to first break the assignment into parts and make it easier as this helps students feel less overwhelmed. I have helped so many students that struggle with understanding their lesson or being unsure what to write on their written assignments. There are different reasons why, some may be the level of difficulty, some are unable to stay focused, may have ADHD, a learning deficit, or slow processing. I have worked with all these and have helped them successfully finish their assignments.

- Re-teaching is the most beneficial method as hearing the information more than once with examples/ real-life examples gives students a better understanding on what they are being taught.
- I do- you do model improves students confidence that they are learning what is being taught and gives the teacher an opportunity where repetition or the struggle is to be able to better tutor the student.
I mainly tutor middle school students for their English classes, but can also assist with Math and History.
