About Emily

I am a 27 year old emigrant from the UK. I have just landed in Sydney and want to settle here permanently with my husband. I have always loved to learn and got into teaching because I want to share this passion with others, possibly even inspiring them to follow their own hearts and desires. I have a first class bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a first class master’s degree in Leadership in Learning, alongside my teaching qualifications. I am an active person outside of work; I love the gym, yoga, running and being on the beach. I am also a huge foodie and coffee lover.

About the lesson

To create the best results by planning and delivering the most impactful and personalised lessons I am driven by data from formative and summative assessment in my tutoring approach. I will address areas for development primarily based on this data, as well as reinforcing strengths to ensure the schema is fully developed. It is really important to me to align my tutoring with the content being learnt in school as historically this has created the best results for my pupils. I enjoy having a strong relationship with my tutees, understanding their hobbies, likes, dislikes, so I can understand how to tailor content not just academically but personally and contextually.

Emily was kind, patient and knew the curriculum like the back of her hand. My daughter is debating further tuition for her upcoming A levels.
