About Yoshie

Yoshie is a highly accomplished pianist and violinist with a deep passion for both performance and education. She began her musical journey at a young age and has since earned impressive qualifications, including the Associate in Music Australia for both piano and violin in 2021, and the Licentiate in Music Australia for piano in 2023. In 2022, she achieved third place in the prestigious Steinway Youth Piano Competition Australia, while also completing Grade 5 Music Theory and Grade 6 Musicianship. Yoshie’s performance highlights include her rendition of the Finale from Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Movement 1, both of which she performed at the Melbourne Recital Centre. In addition to her achievements as a performer, Yoshie has gained extensive experience in solo and ensemble settings, participating in State Music Camps, Eisteddfod competitions, and various public performances. As the leader of Senior String Ensembles and Quartets, she has honed her organizational and leadership skills. Yoshie is passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, drawing from her own positive experiences as a young musician to inspire a love for music in children. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes both technical development and artistic expression, guiding her students toward becoming well-rounded musicians.

About the lesson

Commencing in 2022, I have the fulfilling opportunity to teach violin and piano to a wide variety of students, which not only allows me to share my love of music but also helps me acquire important professional skills. Strong organizational skills are necessary for this position since I prepare each session in advance, alongside my studies, making sure the material is organized and goal oriented. By modifying my teaching strategies to fit each student's particular learning preferences, skills, and objectives, I also improve my flexibility and ensure that everyone can advance at their own speed. Additionally, teaching enhances my problem-solving skills as I come up with innovative ways to keep my students engaged, particularly when they encounter technical challenges. My ability to balance planning and organization continues to grow as a result.
