About Carmen

Hi! I'm from Peru and I specialise in teaching Spanish to beginners. I've been teaching Spanish for 5 years across Australia, and I’m now based in Adelaide.

I create a personalised plan that gets you speaking in just a few months, not memorising random phrases, but actually building your own sentences.

We focus on what really matters: the topics you’ll use in real life, clear pronunciation, and understanding why Spanish works the way it does. Once you understand the “why”, everything clicks.

About the lesson

Have you ever wondered why we say “soy estudiante” and not “estoy estudiante”? Or why the H is silent in words like hola and hablo? Or why Spanish pronunciation is so consistent?

That’s exactly what I’ll help you understand!

With regular practice, you can reach a basic level in around 4 months, with just 2–3 hours per week.

What you’ll get:
Lessons tailored to your goals and level
1–2 lessons per week
Flexible scheduling
All learning materials included
Optional homework for extra practice
Practical Spanish for real-life situations
Focus on speaking and listening, without worrying about taking lots of notes
WhatsApp support if you have questions between lessons

Why learn with me?

- Learn clear, widely understood Peruvian Spanish.
- 5 years of teaching experience. I make grammar and pronunciation simple and easy to understand.

Carmen is a good Spanish teacher, she's very attentive and makes sure you're learning everything properly. The pacing of her lessons was perfect for me. My favorite part of the lessons has been the conversation practice, which helped me gain the confidence to practice outside of lessons as well.
