My teaching approach is one where I assess the student to determine an entry point. I do not waste time teaching skills the student has mastered but determined where skills are needed and begin at that point.
My curriculum is based on the simple view of reading where systematic and explicit instruction is use throughout where students are doing the work not the teacher
