About Amanda
I originally went to UW-Whitewater to study Elementary Education from 2017-2021, but my senior year was peak COVID, so you can probably imagine how things went from there. I got my bachelor's but didn't get my license since I didn't pass student teaching. Fast forward a year or two, and I got a job as an aide at my local middle school and realized that Middle School and High School are what I want to teach since I'm focused on one subject instead of all of them, like the elementary level, which is what led me to do an online degree program in Secondary Education through Concordia. I've always loved history! My favorite periods to study are the US Civil War and Revolutionary War, but I also enjoy World War II. A lot of times, students say they don't like Social Studies because of memorizing the dates, but it's so much more than that! It's learning about the events that occurred that made the world what it is today!
