About Bettie

Ever wonder how early childhood immersion turns into a lifelong pursuit of orchestral excellence? My path led directly to an MMus from the Curtis Institute of Music, where I spent 13 years refining the art of violin performance.

Teaching 215 students has shaped my perspective on left hand agility, shifting positions, bowing technique, and sight reading. Ear training and classical repertoire form the core of my curriculum, supplemented by rhythm and timing exercises. I also emphasize tuning by ear along with complex spiccato and staccato bowing.
