About Violet
A little bit about me, I am a working musician and recording artist, so I'm right there in the thick of it. I took my first vocal lesson at 6 years old when my mother heard me humming along to the vacuum cleaner and I've been studying since. I'm 18 now, pursuing my music full time. I had a rock band for all 4 years of high school, called 'Her Machine' (you can stream our ONLY album on Spotify) but after being scouted as a solo act, I've been on my music journey by myself as Violet Fox. I love Rock music and love performing it, but I have a love for acoustic tunes as well. I write in 2 totally different genres, but you get the best of both worlds that way. I am also classically trained, I can read sheet music, and I did musical theatre for about 8 years. Some notable roles being Fantine in Les Mis, Alice in The Addams Family, Matilda in Matilda, and Penny in Hairspray. You may know these if you're a total nerd, like myself, but if not just skim over it. I love music of all kinds and I'm super passionate about teaching.

My lessons are not typical vocal lessons. I will develop a lesson plan that is customized to you, and meets you where you are at. Our lessons will be a judgment-free zone, where you can build your voice, at the pace you want. You can learn for work, or learn for passion, everyone is welcome! The homework I assign is somewhat strange, my techniques are even stranger, and my sense of humor the strangest, but I have never had a student walk out of lessons feeling anything but comfortable and confident. My lessons are a smoothie of the lessons I have been taught, and for 12 years, I have taken notes from everyone. I want to speed up the process for you and teach you all the important stuff. I would love to be your vocal teacher, and see what you're capable of! Let's unlock your voice together, and hey let's be friends too.

Violet is a wonderful teacher! She has great range in her teaching ability, having thought my differently aged younger brother and sister to sing.
