Hello and welcome! My name is Yuriko.

I see myself not as a traditional, one-way teacher, but as your dedicated, supportive learning companion. My goal is to walk alongside you, listening closely to your needs, adapting to your unique pace, and guiding you toward real confidence in Japanese—whether for personal enjoyment, travel, or professional growth.

My background spans over 20 years in corporate Japan, years of experience as a certified yoga instructor, and completion of the Japanese Teacher Training program at the Japan Society in New York (alongside my bachelor's degree from Gakushuin University in Tokyo). These diverse experiences allow me to combine formal teaching methods with deep real-world insights, all delivered in a patient, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel completely comfortable making mistakes and growing at your own speed.
