About Ting

I’m Ting, you can call me Lettie too, it’s my plesure to be your friend and help you learn Chinese.

I graduated from Foreign Language Academy, and I have a double major in business administration. My native language is Chinese, also I can speak English and a little Spanish. I am interested in language, so I would like to learn other beautiful languages.

I worked as a private tutor in university since 2013, most of my students are children and teenagers. I've worked in many educational institutions in my spare time.

Also, I had a part-time job in International College, helped some foreign students do their business, we talked about Chinese language and culture mostly, they’re all love Chinese culture and so nice and friendly.

I founded a education training organization with my friends during summer holiday in Jiangsu,China. It’s a precious 2-month practice for a college student.

I was a marketing specialist in a big law firm, besides my own work , I am also responsible for communicating with foreign clients and do some Chinese-English translation work.

As for me, I’m friendly and easygoing with students.In my class, it’s free to express yourself, we can talk everything you are interested. Don’t worry about making mistakes, there’s a Chinese saying that “Mistake is the mother of success”. I hope we can study and make progress together. It’s my pleasure to participate in and witness your success.

About the lesson

The lesson is available for both beginners and advanced. My teaching methods vary with each individual. It depends on your age and learning purposes.

I will customize the lesson based on your personality and interest. Oral Chinese, writing, and reading are the most important parts.

For beginners, we can start from pinyin, pronunciation , basic words, phrases and small conversation. I will prepare many interesting learning material for you, so we can learn happily.

For higher -level students, I think complexed conversation in real-life and writing more Chinese characters are more useful. I guarantee that you can express your idea correctly and write some articles by yourself through my lessons.

Besides, if you’re interested in Chinese culture and want to know more about today’s China, I’m glad to tell you Chinese history, ancient buildings, myth, drama ,new technology, new service and so on.

I am a good listener with full patience to help you learn Chinese. I’m available off the class, if you have any questions, just contact me, and I will give you feedback as soon as possible.
