About Joanny
I am a dedicated and caring educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and experience working with children, teenagers, and adults. Throughout my career, I have developed strong communication, patience, organization, and interpersonal skills. I truly believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they have the right support and encouragement. My goal is to create a welcoming and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. I take pride in being reliable, professional, and committed to each student’s individual progress. My approach as a tutor is centered on one simple goal: seeing my students succeed and feel confident in their ability to learn English. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual needs, goals, and learning style. I use an interactive and student-centered approach that focuses on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and practical everyday English. I encourage students to speak as much as possible through questions, conversations, role-playing, games, and real-life situations, while creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or review, followed by a new topic or skill with simple explanations and examples, interactive practice, and a final review. What sets me apart is my patience, encouragement, and genuine desire to see each student progress. With my background in Psychology and experience working with children and learners of different ages, I understand the importance of creating a positive and supportive learning environment. I work with children, teenagers, and adults, especially beginner and intermediate students, Spanish speakers learning English, and anyone who wants to improve their conversational skills, confidence, school performance, travel English, workplace communication, or interview skills. My goal is not only to teach English, but to help my students understand it, use it, and feel confident speaking it.
