About Kaliani
I am a primary school teacher from Malaysia with 25 years of experience teaching Tamil. Over the years, I was also involved in developing the curriculum for primary school Tamil textbooks, giving me a deep understanding of how young learners best absorb the language. During COVID, I moved my teaching fully online and have since mastered a range of interactive tools, including Google Docs and Zoom, to keep lessons engaging and effective. I love bringing creativity into every class, using storytelling, songs, and hands-on activities to make Tamil enjoyable for every student. Teaching is not just my profession, it is something I am truly passionate about, and I look forward to sharing that passion with you.

With over 25 years of teaching experience, including 5+ years teaching online, I bring Tamil to life for young learners at the primary level. Lessons unfold through storytelling, including fun "choose your own adventure" narratives where students help shape how the story goes. Songs, pictures, and simple hands-on tools like paper clips add color and playfulness to every class, keeping young minds curious and engaged. I also use spaced repetition, a proven technique that helps lessons stick long after class ends. My goal is simple: make learning Tamil feel like an adventure, not a chore.
