About Sam
As someone who struggled academically in school, I found great solace in performance, whether that be music or Acting. I felt, not being good at maths and science at school, I was at a disadvantage but I slowly realised I could excel in something not a lot of other students could. This inspired me to take this venture seriously when I left school and tailor all my academic choices to Acting. I ended up getting an unconditional offer for Drama school and after 3 vigorous but exhilarating years of training, I graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Acting. I have since worked on various independent film projects, theatre productions whilst also writing and producing my own work alongside the 'Better Foot Collective', an independent production company I helped co-create. As your Drama tutor, I aspire to create a space where creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence are just as valued as academic achievement.

I will help students develop and improve on a wide range of acting techniques, including improvisation, understanding dramatic structure, how to bring scripts to life, text analysis, line learning techniques and voice work. I will also guide students on how to approach auditions, whether they be for drama schools or professional work within the industry, showing them fundamental skills on how to showcase themselves to the best of their ability. My lessons will always open with fun, creative and engaging acting exercises, primarily designed to build up energy and enthusiasm.
