About Ileana
Financial accounting became my main focus after I finished my BBA Finance degree at NYU Stern and started applying these concepts in real-world settings. I have spent the last 9 years teaching students about closing entries, accrual vs cash basis, and financial statements.
Understanding the mechanics of double-entry bookkeeping, cost accounting, depreciation methods, and accounts payable and receivable is necessary for anyone entering a corporate finance role. I help students navigate these complex topics by connecting the classroom theory to the practical demands of an actual job. My methods are backed by years of professional experience and academic studies.
