About Laura
I am reliable , conscientious and dedicated. My experiences living abroad have allowed me to be open minded and tolerant of all customs, values and traditions. I am patient and polite and do not mind working through things in a caring encouraging way with students. Striving to be prompt and efficient in my teaching methods is important to me. I also like to remain approachable to ensure that my students feel that I am not judgmental or critical but instead encouraging and supportive.

Like most English teachers, I am enthusiastic and passionate about teaching. My experience teaching English to many students from diverse cultures has allowed me to incorporate global awareness and empathy in my teaching.
I am available for all levels and insert fun in my lessons.
I incorporate two teaching methods as it applies to the student.
1) Direct - all teaching is done in English, the target language.
2) Communicative language teaching (CLT) - emphasizes the student’s ability to communicate in real-life contexts. As a result, students learn to make requests, accept offers, explain things, and express their feelings and preferences.
My typical lesson plan consists of:
1) Clear Objective.
2) Lesson plan structure.
3) Clarity and continuity.
4) Materials.
5) Atmosphere.
6) A great closing
