About Serena
I believe my mixed science and humanities background can help you study regardless of what your strengths are, and being a social person I enjoy tutoring. By the time I graduated school, I knew exactly what would have been helpful for me to know while I was still learning so I hope I can do that now. I am currently studying Clinical Psychology and Qualitative Research Techniques in my second year of BSc Psychology at King's College London. I achieved a 40 at IB, with 7, 7, 6 (A*, A*, A) in Psychology, Latin, and Biology. If you need advice on university entrance, I would love to help with that as well. Not overcomplicating content can go a long way in improving, revising and enjoying a subject more. I love psychology, and still remember all the content from A-level/IB. I know how much time and strain a good tutor can save, especially as things get busy towards exam and mocks period.

I will first ask about the syllabus, as well as what you enjoy and struggle with in psychology. I believe the key to making it easier and more enjoyable is breaking the techniques down into simple, applicable steps. Sometimes it is hard to digest the high volume of content in psychology, and it isn't often clear how exactly you approach your answers in exams and classwork. I will ask you what you want to focus on specifically. Then, we can work together to make clear APFCs (aims, procedure, findings, conclusions) of the key studies needed in each topic rather and how you can construct an answer/argument by combining multiple APFCs. If you want to focus on theories, we can break these down and make good notes that you can come back to when revision time comes.
