About Roxana
I'm Roxana, your qualified and experienced intercultural communication coach and I am here to support you with your language training requirements. I work on polishing your speaking skills to help you understand real spoken English and talk more like a native.
My background is in TV and cinema and I run the ESL book & film clubs not only to introduce you to accents from all over Britain, but also to help you understand this culture and its socio-economic structure better. Knowing more of the culture will improve your linguistic skill set greatly, on top of giving you the opportunity to watch great movies that you didn’t know about and lead stimulating discussions with likeminded people.
I work one to one and with small groups, online, at St. Sidwell’s Centre, or in the library in Exeter.

Hi, I'm Roxana your Innovative English coach with +10 years of experience offering lessons to students of all levels and ages.
The way I work is student led and centred around your individual needs - and collaboration when in groups.
After the first assessment, to discover your level of English and what you need to focus linguistically, I also ask you about your needs so that I can help you achieve your goals. If, for instance, you need to take a Cambridge exam, I can help you prepare successfully for the test. Or if you want to focus only on spoken English and learn how to speak English like the native, we can concentrate on phonetics, through the use of music and film dialogue. If you are a fluent speaker but want to improve your writing skills I can teach you techniques to take your writing to a different level. I will give you the tools to make you an effective independent learner.
