About Amelia

I’m Amelia, an LLB graduate and LLM candidate at Cardiff University, currently applying for PhD study in public international law. My ambition is to become a university lecturer, combining research with a commitment to education.

Having studied law since A level, I’ve developed a lasting interest in how legal rules are justified and challenged. I particularly value the scope for independent thought: understanding the law is as much about questioning an argument as knowing the rules.

Tutoring is an opportunity to share that interest and support others in developing their own understanding. I aim to create a setting where students can ask questions freely and gain confidence in their ideas.

About the lesson

My approach: We’ll start with what you want help with and work at your pace. I explain difficult concepts in plain language, with time for questions throughout.

Developing your understanding: We’ll explore the ideas behind the law and discuss different perspectives to deepen your understanding. My aim is to help you think independently and feel confident engaging with the subject.

My background: I studied A-level Law before completing my LLB at Cardiff University. I am now an LLM candidate applying for PhD study, with the ambition of becoming a university lecturer.

Who I teach: A-level and undergraduate law students. You’re welcome whether you’re struggling with a particular topic or looking to push your work further.
